"And she cried out in eternal ecstasy- for never before had she felt such hate and love for life."
Where are you, bitchiness?
It was bound to happen.
A milestone in our relationship.
One of us has gotten sick.

"Hmm...maybe lack of sleep, cold water, and irregular eating habits? I didn't go to personal training for nothing, Andrew, darling," I said, handing Dusty a Propel water and two Motrin.
"Yeah, but come on. I always do that stuff."
"Which is why you always get sick. Look, no more surfing for a couple of days, okay? Or else you're gonna keep this thing forever."
Dusty's got a cold..and a headache...and he's exhausted. Surfing is his life; but everyone needs a break from life sooner or later.
Although he refused to stay in bed, at least I kept him in warmer clothes and around inside for most of the day. He even took a nap this afternoon while we were watching Harry Potter's Goblet of Fire.
I've been having a simply Harry Potter week! I don't know why, but I just craved him. But I'm more excited that Narnia is out on DVD. Even though I'm not that much of a Harry Potter fan, I am a HUGE dork about Narnia.
I knew I had to wake Dusty up when the movie was over, though. Or else I'd go insane with boredom.
So I stared at him while he slept, and moved covers on the bed for awhile. When it didn't have the desired affect, I put my fingers to his ears and butterfly kissed. When that didn't have the desire affect, I threw a book on the floor.
"Hey baby, time to get up!" I said much too enthusiastically. "Let's go out to dinner."
Not a lingerer when food is mentioned (though he looks like an anorexic little kid), Dusty was ready in about five minutes.
We went out to dinner, leaving early when poor Dusty's head started hurting again.
He's sleeping now (it's only 8:00 PM), but I have to say, I like having him right here with me. Usually I'm seeing him in short intervals, or far off in the distance, riding the waves.
I'm sitting next to him on the hotel bed, and his breathing is light and sweet.
I'm turning into a sucker.
Where are you, bitchiness?

"There is a dream about a little boy with yellow hair and green eyes,
and he's holding a box with a crank.
When he turns the crank, he looks straight into your eyes.
When the crank has turned fully once,
a lid opens off the box, and you see that the box is filled with slats.
These slats form squares in the box which hold small frogs and toads.
Would you like to buy one? the boy asks me.
No, I reply, but please give me a kiss for good luck.
I only sell frogs, the little boy responds, calmly. But don't worry, I love you-
I'll kiss you later."
"My warehouse has shown up again
and the ballroom is covered in huge satin curtains.
Green and purple curtains and silver balloons to match."
(Some things out of my dream journal--I swear I have the weirdest dreams every night. They are always different, but some of them are almost like a series. And most have the same setting. A haunted warehouse that I seem to own, and which I am always having adventures (or misadventures in). It's like watching television. Only a bit spookier!)
